How it works
If you’re making a game
- Post what you need: a title, a few sentences, and how it pays. That’s all that’s required.
- Type your email. We send a link; click it and the listing is live. No account to set up.
- Musicians message you here. We email you a link when a message arrives. They never see your address.
- Found someone? Do nothing; the listing expires on its own after 60 days.
If you make music
- Browse games that need music and message the ones you like. No sign-up first.
- Put up demo tracks on your profile. Each track gets a licence note: “Contact me”, “Free for game jams”, CC BY 4.0, or your own words.
- Add stems: the separate layers of a track (drums, bass, pads…). Visitors can switch each layer on and off while it plays. That’s what a developer needs to hear to know your music can adapt in-game. One stem track earns your profile the stems-ready badge.
- Set loop points (in seconds, to the millisecond) and visitors can hear the loop seamlessly with “Loop preview”.
Stems, practically
Export each stem as its own file, the same length as the track and starting at 0:00, so they line up. Up to 8 stems per track, 25 MB per file, MP3/OGG/WAV. Stem tracks can be up to 2:30 long so they play smoothly on phones.
Game jams
Post a jam listing with the jam’s name and end time. Each jam gets its own page on the jam board, and the listing comes down when the jam ends.
Spam
Every listing, profile and message has a Report link. When three different people with confirmed emails report the same thing, it’s hidden automatically. New accounts can post two listings and start ten conversations a day.
